Camellia Plc established through a modest tea garden by Sephinjuri Bheel Tea Company (SBTC)

Walter Duncan and Goodricke Limited gets merged under Camellia.

1967

1977

Following the enactment of FERA law in 1973, a disassociation from Duncan Bros took place and Goodricke Group Ltd. Was floated as the new entity by consolidation of eight companies, which owned seventeen gardens in Assam, Dooars and Darjeeling.

Packaged tea for Consumer division launched.

2010

Goodricke Teapot inaugurated in DB Mall, Bhopal.

Margaret’s Deck Tea Lounge inaugurated in Kurseong, near Darjeeling.

Goodricke acquires leading tea brands – Super Cup, Samovar, Symphony, etc, from GPI.

Launch of GTP Queen’s Deck in Mumbai and GTP Tea Room in Kolkata.

Margaret’s Deck

Margaret’s Deck is a flagship lounge for Goodricke Group’s chain of tea lounges. Launched in 2016, it is a tourist destination for those travelling to Darjeeling. The Deck overlooks the valley of the Margaret’s Hope tea garden and has a premium feel offering a global tea culture ambience. Tea By the Lake

Launched in early 2020, Tea by the Lake exclusively serves teas fresh from the Goodricke’s Gardens. Located next to the Mirik Lake or the Sumendu Lake, it shares its boundary with the lake. Besides teas, it serves an exclusive menu including local fare as well as continental fare. Bakery products here are well appreciated. Frequented mostly by tourists visiting Mirik. It is also at a drivable distance from Siliguri.

Goodricke Teapot Bhopal

Launched in 2011, the first teapot, is a full-service café located at DB Mall. It has been designed keeping in mind the widespread love for tea in the city. With a fun ambience and excellent variety of tea, this café is a sure hit amongst tea lovers in Bhopal.
